Address¶
The Address snap-in tracks addresses associated with a person. Multiple addresses are easily accommodated, giving you the ability to track a complete history of current and past addresses. Addresses are assigned types (home address, business address, previous address, etc.) and can be given an "active date" for keeping a history of when a specific address became active for the person.
Creating an Address Record¶
Tip: An address record may need to be edited due to a clerical error or it may need to be updated for historical purposes.
For example, if a new home address has been entered for an individual, the previous address should be updated with an address type of "Prior Home Address."
- Click the Address snap-in in any open name session.
- Add a new record.
-
Select or type all required and relevant data for each available field. Some fields may be required while others are not.
Field Description Address Type Select the address type from the list. Address Type the address in this text box. ZIP Code Type the ZIP code in this numeric field. The ZIP code field has the ability to auto fill the City and/or State fields in the Address snap-ins if a corresponding ZIP Code Auto Fill Rule has been created for the ZIP code. If there are multiple cities associated with the ZIP code , select the desired city from the drop-down list. For more information on ZIP code auto fill rules, see ZIP Code Auto Fill Rules. City Type the city in this text box. State Select the state from the list. Active Date Type the active date or select the date from the drop-down calendar. Tip: To enter the current date, press the space bar while the cursor is in the field. Notes Enter details about the address, such as "Will be moving in April", etc. Tip: A numeric field might have a mask, which will require a certain format or certain characters for a specific number type, as defined by your JustWare Administrator. In this scenario, the numeric field, once selected, is underlined for the number of required characters. An example of a mask is when you complete a phone number field. In this example, you may type three digits between the parentheses for the area code, three digits before the hyphen, and four digits after the hyphen.

Finding an Address Record¶
In addition to being able to track and record addresses, JustWare also provides the ability to locate a name record by searching by address.
Simply type the address in the name search bar and press Enter.
Records matching your search criteria are displayed in a search session. Wildcard searches will help broad searches return more accurate results.
By using the Quick Search to search for an address, JustWare will return the name record associated with that address and show the address in the summary.
