Managing Your Password

Your JustWare Administrator may have enabled the ability for you to manage your password through JustWare. If this feature has been enabled in the Application Parameters session, this section will help you manage your password by providing you with information about the various notifications and dialog boxes you may encounter. If this feature has not been enabled, this section will not be applicable to your JustWare experience.

The change domain password feature allows you to change your password while you are logged on to JustWare. You will be notified that your password will expire soon, prompted to change your password, and alerted if your password has expired. You may change your password in response to a notification, or you may change it manually using the Menu toolbar.

Important: If you change your password through JustWare, it will also change the password you use for the domain on which JustWare is hosted.

Notification that Your Password Will Expire

When you log on to JustWare, the Password Expiration Notification will appear if your password is set to expire anytime within the next 14 days. The notification will inform you of how many days remain before your password expires. Your options are to change your password now or to change it at a later time.

Note: If you decide to wait to change your password, you will continue to be reminded to change your password every time you log on to JustWare.

  1. When the Password Expiration Notification appears, click the Change Password button. The Change Password dialog box opens. Note: The Username field is read-only. The Current Password field is populated with asterisks representing your current password.
  2. In the New Password field, type the password you would like to use.
  3. In the Verify New Password field, retype the same password you used in the New Password field.
  4. Click the OK button.
If you do not receive an error message, then your password has been changed successfully and the password you submitted is effective immediately.

Note: You can wait to change your password by clicking Cancel. The dialog box will close and you will be able to continue to log on to JustWare.

Changing Your Password from the Toolbar

There are instances where you may decide to change your password manually without a pop-up notification open. For example, you may have been prompted recently to change your password and decided to wait to change it, or you may suspect that your password has been compromised.

  1. From the Menu toolbar, click Tools to open the Tools landing page. Navigate to Basic Setup > Change Domain Password. The Change Password dialog box opens. Note: The Username field is read-only.
  2. In the Current Password field, type the password you have been using to log on to JustWare.
  3. In the New Password field, type the password you would like to use.
  4. In the Verify New Password field, retype the same password you used in the New Password field.
  5. If you would like to proceed with changing your password, click the OK button. If you do not receive an error message, then your password has been changed successfully. The password you submitted is effective immediately.

Note: You can wait to change your password by clicking Cancel. The dialog box will close and you can continue to use JustWare.

Notification that Your Password Has Expired

If you have delayed changing your password and have not changed it prior to its expiration date, you will be prompted to change your password before you can log on to JustWare.

  1. Click the Change Password button.

If you do not receive an error message, then your password has been changed successfully. The password you submitted is effective immediately.

Note: Remember that changing your password in JustWare also changes the password for the domain on which JustWare is hosted. For example, it could change the password you use to log on to Windows.
