Snap-in Preferences

Snap-in preferences may be set for the following:

  • Height of rows in Grid View
  • Width of columns in Grid View
  • Order of columns in Grid View
  • Size of snap-ins
  • Default snap-in view

Change the Row Height

Change the height of rows in a snap-in in Grid View.

  1. Open an existing name or case record.
  2. Ensure that you are in Grid View for the snap-in whose row height you wish to change.
  3. To change the height of a record row in a snap-in in Grid View, click and drag on the bottom border of the gray box to the left of the record row.

The mouse pointer will turn into a double-headed arrow when it is properly positioned to execute the resizing.

Note: Even though you are only changing the height of one row, all rows in that snap-in will resize similarly.

  4. If you would like to change the row height of other snap-ins, you may repeat the above steps.

  5. Save or close the session.

Change the Column Width

Change the width of columns in a snap-in in Grid View.

  1. Open an existing name or case record.
  2. Ensure that you are in Grid View for the snap-in whose column width you wish to change.
  3. To change the width of a column in a snap-in in Grid View, move your mouse pointer over the column header until it turns into a resize pointer. Click and drag to the desired size.
  4. If you would like to change the column width of other columns, you may repeat the above steps.
  5. Save or close the session.

Change the Column Order

Change the order of columns in a snap-in in Grid View.

  1. Open an existing name or case record.
  2. Ensure that you are in Grid View for the snap-in whose column order you wish to change.
  3. To change the order of columns in a snap-in in Grid View, you must move one column at a time. Click and drag the desired column header to the desired location.

As you move the column header, black arrows will indicate possible locations for you to place the header. For example, in the image below, black arrows indicate that the column header may be placed in the first column position.

  4. If you would like to move other columns, you may repeat the above steps.

  5. Save or close the session.

Change the Snap-in Size

Change the size of a snap-in.

  1. Open an existing name or case record.
  2. To change the size of a snap-in, move your mouse pointer over any outer edge of the snap-in (top, bottom, left or right) until it turns into a resize pointer. Click and drag to the desired size.
  3. If you would like to change the size of other snap-ins, you may repeat the above steps.
  4. Save or close the session.

Set the Default Snap-in

  1. Open an existing name or case record.
  2. Click on the snap-in you would like to be the default snap-in that is selected when that view is revisited. For example, there are three tabbed snap-ins next to each other, and you select the middle one. The next time you open this same view, the middle tabbed snap-in will be the one in focus, or selected.
  3. Save the session.
