Domain Mapping Table

The Domain Mapping code table contains two fields: NetBIOS Name and Distinguished Name. These domain mappings allow your domain users to prefix their usernames with the defined domain names. Domain mapping is specified during JustWare installation but can be updated at any time.

Domain mapping information must be specified in order for JustWare to properly communicate with Active Directory. NetBIOS Name and Distinguished Name are Active Directory properties used in managing a network directory. If you need further information about these properties, contact your IT administrator in charge of Active Directory.

Finding the Domain Mapping Table

  1. Open the Admin landing page.
  2. Navigate to General Configuration > Application Parameters. The Domain Mapping code table will be displayed in the Domain Map snap-in.

Tip: To access this code table through the Code Tables master list in the General Configuration group, click tblDomainMap.

Creating Domain Mappings

  1. Add a new record.
  2. Select or type all required and relevant data for each available field. Some fields may be required while others are not.

    • NetBIOS Name: Type your domain name.
    • Distinguished Name: Type the actual domain, the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN), where your user logons are stored.

Note: You can reference your domain by using the Domain Name or the FQDN. However, it is recommended that you always use the domain name for both consistency and ease-of-use.

Important: If two domains are used in conjunction with JustWare via a two-way domain trust setup, both domains must be mapped in the Domain Map snap-in.

  3. Save the session.
