Creating Profile Attributes

  1. In the Administrative Tools group, click System Administration .
  2. Select Security | Security Profiles .
  3. In the Profiles snap-in, select the security profile for which you want to create profile attributes.
  4. Select the Profile Attributes snap-in.
  5. Either add a new record or select a record.
  6. With the new record or the record you want to edit in focus, select or type all required (indicated by an asterisk) and relevant data for each available field:

    • Attribute: Select a profile attribute from the list.
    • Value: Type true or false according to the desired result.

      Below is a list of profile attributes and their true/false behavior.

      CanEditCaseTi tle

      An edit case title link appears at the top of cases that are configured to allow manual editing of case titles. Members of the selected profile can click the link to manually edit the case title, overriding the standard auto-generated case title. See Case Title Configuration for details.

      Note: Users must have permission to update the Case Information snap-in to view or edit the case title.

      A Customize SnapIn button appears on every snap-in to allow members of the selected profile to change the display name of the snap-in and grid columns, and to show/hide columns in the grid.

      InstanceCount

      Allows members of the selected profile to add an event to a Docket Instance, even if that event does not match the case criteria or is full.

      Members of the selected profile cannot add an event to a Docket Instance unless the event matches the case criteria and the docket is not full.

      ShowJdaEditor

      The JDA Editor button is visible in the Utilities group of the Explorer Toolbar to members of the selected profile.

      A button to open SQL Reporting Services Report Builder appears in the Reports group of the Explorer Toolbar for members of the selected profile.

      Members of the selected profile can update the status of event reminders in a pop-up reminder window.

  7. Save the Session. (Click Save button or Ctrl+S) The session is saved.

Note: In order for profile attribute changes to take effect for members of the specified security profile, they must restart JustWare.
