Batch Workflow

The My JustWare Batch Workflow session provides users with a central location for managing batch business rules. This session allows users to do the following:

  • Run scheduled workflows on demand.
  • Ensure that scheduled workflows are running properly.
  • View the Workflow Log report.

The My Justware Batch Workflow session may be selected through the Views dropdown in the top right of the session window. This session is composed of the following:

  • On Demand Snap-in
  • Workflow Log Snap-in

The On Demand Snap-in

The On Demand snap-in is read-only and provides a list of active scheduled workflows. It allows users to execute scheduled workflows at the push of a button.

Field Description
Successful If checked, this box indicates that the workflow was successful the last time it was run (either on demand or on a schedule).
Last Message This field displays the last message sent by the workflow. For example, if the workflow was successful the last time it was run, this field would contain the message "Workflow 'workflow name' executed." These messages assist the user in debugging.
Last Run By This field displays the name of the last person to run the workflow. If the workflow was last executed on a schedule, the name of the individual associated with the workflow will be displayed.

Executing A Scheduled Workflow On Demand

  1. In the On Demand snap-in, select the scheduled workflow that you want to run by clicking the gray box to the left of the record.
  2. Click the On Demand On Demand button button located in the snap-in toolbar. A dialog box opens asking if you would like to execute the workflow.
  3. Click Yes The seleced workflow executes

The Workflow Log Snap-In

The Workflow Log snap-in enables you to set criteria to specify which workflows will be displayed in the Workflow Log report. In addition to selecting the beginning and ending dates and times, and other criteria to narrow the scope of the report, you can also choose to group the results of the report. For example, you might group your report results by the type of workflow or by the successfulness of the workflows that were run.
